ArteKino. This online Festival of European Cinema celebrates creativity, diversity, and imagination across the continent. Since its creation, ARTE has promoted shared European values and placed storytelling at the center of its cultural mission. Through digital platforms, the channel now connects with millions of viewers across Europe.
True culture should be open to everyone, not just experts. That’s why ARTE brings cinema to audiences where they are: online, accessible, and free.

Launched in 2016, the ArteKino Festival was created to share the richness of European auteur cinema with a wider audience. Viewers can now stream films directly on arte.tv and the ARTE Cinema YouTube channel.
For its tenth edition, ArteKino – The Online Festival of European Cinema continues to support new voices in film. It offers 12 European films, all free to watch in 32 countries. Many have been featured at major festivals, while others premiere exclusively at ArteKino.
The festival connects audiences with new filmmakers. It invites everyone to discover fresh, bold, and relevant perspectives on topics such as the environment, identity, and social change.
In a rapidly changing world, these films (both fiction and documentary) explore our relationship with history, storytelling, and commitment. The ArteKino Festival continues to promote diversity and gender balance across its entire program.
This year’s 12 feature films come from Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, France, and Ireland. Each film invites you to travel, reflect, and experience the beauty of Europe’s cultures and languages.
The selection highlights the creativity of new filmmakers. Their stories explore both personal struggles and wider social transformations. Blending fiction and documentary, these works show hope, humor, and emotion: the voice of a generation redefining the future of cinema.
he ArteKino Foundation created the festival with support from Creative Europe MEDIA. It also receives sponsorship from CHANEL and GOOSSENS. The Paris-based art house GOOSSENS designed the two festival trophies: the European Audience Award and the Young Jury Award.
